Abraham Rosales was born in Caracas, Venezuela in 1993. Rosales was raised amongst clothing factories and this inspired him to reinvent the family textile tradition. In his work he includes materials and ideas that he has lived with since he was a child and transforms them into complex fabric assemblies, sculptures, and public installations. Consumerism and textile waste are recurring themes in Rosales' work. Through his personal narratives and connections to his past, Rosales questions excessive textile waste world wide. This is displayed by his use of scraps throughout his body of works.
